Pumpkin Spiced Hot Red Wine

What you need:

Red wine, I recommend a Cabernet.

For syrup:

2 cups water
1 1/2 cups sugar
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon or 4-5 cinnamon sticks
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
a scant 1/2 teaspoon cloves
4 heaping tablespoons pumpkin puree

In a pot combine all the ingredients. Stir together over medium heat until the sugar has dissolved. Continue cooking over low/medium heat for an additional 5-6 minutes (do not allow to boil).

Let cool, place in a glass container and keep refrigerated.

How to make the Pumpkin Spice Red Wine:
In a pot, pour the bottle of wine and 1/2 cup of the pumpkin spice syrup. Turn on the fire or heat and stir. once the wine has reached the temperature you like. (do not reach boil) quickly turn off and serve. you do not want to let the wine sit on the fire for too long because all of the alcohol will evaporate.
